Full-Time Nanny

Our agency is partnering with a well-run, fully staffed private household seeking a warm, capable, and discreet full-time nanny to join an established team. This role has been created to support a growing family and to ensure consistent, thoughtful care as the needs of the children evolve.
The ideal candidate is a professional nanny who values collaboration, communicates clearly, and brings particular interest and skill in supporting socio-emotional development in early childhood, especially for children ages 2 and 5, while also being comfortable in a household with children ranging from infancy through early adolescence.
The Role
This is a team-based position within a structured household environment. The nanny will work as a peer to other nannies and take day-to-day direction from the household manager. The role requires emotional steadiness, flexibility, and the ability to build strong, respectful relationships with children, parents, and coworkers alike.
Success in this role looks like calm, attuned caregiving; proactive communication; and consistent follow-through within established family systems.
Key Responsibilities
Provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care to children ages 2 months through 12 years, with particular focus on ages 2 and 5
Support socio-emotional development through responsive caregiving, clear boundaries, and age-appropriate guidance
Follow established family routines, parenting strategies, and household guidelines
Support daily rhythms including meals, naps, school drop-offs and pick-ups, and activities
Serve prepared meals to children; minimal cooking only (e.g., scrambling eggs)
Transport children locally in a family-provided vehicle (suburban driving only)
Exercise sound judgment in day-to-day childcare decisions within clearly defined systems
Communicate openly, honestly, and proactively with the household manager
Work collaboratively with a team of nannies to maintain a cohesive caregiving environment
Ideal Candidate Profile
Minimum 4 years of professional nanny experience
Demonstrated interest in, or experience with, early childhood socio-emotional development
Warm, calm, and emotionally regulated demeanor
Flexible and adaptable in a dynamic household setting
Proactive thinker who can anticipate needs and transitions
Comfortable working within structure and taking direction
Discreet, empathetic, and trustworthy
Parenting style that is supportive and responsive, not rigid or authoritarian
Honest communicator who works well as part of a team
Role Scope & Boundaries
This is a childcare-focused role and does not include:
Housekeeping
Household shopping or errands unrelated to the children
Managing medical appointments or attending school functions
Household or staff management responsibilities
Schedule & Commitment
Full-time position with a thoughtful, structured schedule
Some flexibility in scheduling may be offered
Travel is not required, though occasional opportunities may be available
A two-year commitment is preferred, though shorter-term placements may be considered for an exceptional candidate

Legal authorization to work
CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain
