Valhalla, NY (Westchester) | Part-Time Summer Nanny

Afternoons | July–August | 5-Year-Old (with Occasional Support for 2-Year-Old)

Our agency is partnering with a warm family in Valhalla, New York seeking a dependable and engaging part-time summer nanny to care primarily for their 5-year-old child during the months of July and August.

This is a structured, short-term opportunity ideal for a caregiver who enjoys active afternoons with children and takes a thoughtful, attentive approach to childcare.

The Role

The nanny will be responsible for managing the afternoon routine, including camp pickup and engaging the child in age-appropriate activities. The family is looking for someone warm, reliable, and capable of creating a safe and enjoyable environment through play, outdoor time, and creative activities.

The father works from home and will be present during working hours.

Schedule

Monday–Friday
2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
July & August (excluding holidays)

Responsibilities May Include

Picking up the 5-year-old from summer camp
Planning and engaging in age-appropriate activities (outdoor play, playground time, crafts)
Preparing and serving snacks
Maintaining a safe, structured, and nurturing environment
Occasionally picking up a 2-year-old sibling from daycare around 5:00 PM

Ideal Candidate Profile

Prior childcare experience with young children
Warm, engaging, and attentive caregiving style
Reliable, punctual, and consistent
Comfortable following established routines and expectations
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Non-smoker

All candidates will undergo reference checks and a background screening.
